Amur Leopard
The
amur leopard also know as the eastern leopard is the rarest big cat on earth. There
are now only 19-26 amur leopards left in the wild. Amur leopards are crepuscular meaning that they
are active during dawn and dusk. Amur leopards are solitary unless the females
have offspring. The amur leopard lives in a small area between Vladivostok in Russia
and the chines border. poaching of amur
leopards is a main threat to their survival and they are mostly killed by local
Russians living in and around the amur leopards habitat. The Amur
Leopard and Tiger Alliance (ALTA)
is an organization to conserve the
Amur leopard and amur tiger.
